Amanda Seyfried is an American actress who began her acting career on the soap opera "As the World Turns" which aired from 1956-2010. She played the role of Lucy Montgomery from 2000-2001, and then returned to the show in 2002 for a brief stint.
During her time on the show, Seyfried was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Drama Series - Leading Young Actress in 2001. She also gained critical recognition for her performance as Lily Kane on the TV series "Veronica Mars" and later for her leading roles in films such as "Mamma Mia!", "Les Misérables", and "Lovelace". She has since become one of Hollywood's most sought-after actresses.
